    The Google Chrome OS is a great product and there is definitely a market for those people who only require the internet. However, Microsoft are still the market dominance in personal computers. The majority of people prefer having something like Windows where you can do virtually almost anything. Chrome OS will have very little support for programs, because companies produce software for Windows, but Chrome is so basic, it probably won’t ever get software such as Photoshop designed for it.

    This is a good explanation of Chrome OS. The ads make it look like a replacement for Windows / Mac OS, which is silly, as HTML isn’t a good platform for apps.

    @vemu333 No they will not disappear, but the thinking is that all software, even ones like Photoshop can and will live in the cloud. Chrome Os is definitely a little ahead of its time, but not by much.

    This is not a full-featured computer, but there’s still a great number of people whose computer needs consist of browsing the web. That kind of dumbs who don’t even know what their operating system is. And I think there’s nothing bad about making money on stupid people. That’s what Apple’s doing, and it works great. It’s a great business opportunity cause there’s millions of idiots around.

    @vemu333 This OS is just or internet, if you want photoshop, etc…. you will need a different OS.

    it’s just Ubuntu 10.04 with Google Chrome installed with pre-configured webapps. it boots up with chrome opened up and ready to go. when you minimize it, you have the same desktop as ubuntu. Google:Genius::people:dumb. ..

    Same cicely Netscape came up with 20 years ago …. The browser is the OS.
