Review of Lubuntu 12.04 Final Release, codenamed Precise Pangolin. Lubuntu uses LXDE desktop, which is a very lightweight classic styled desktop ideal for older systems, its also ideal if you don’t like Unity desktop environment. There hasn’t been a lot in the way of new changes in this release, there has been one notable change — Display manager has been switched to LightDM, which has lowered memory requirements. In-fact it could fit on a system with 128MB RAM. rTorrent is a quick and efficient BitTorrent client that uses the libtorrent library. It is written in C++ and uses the ncurses programming library, which means it uses a text user interface. This is a quick review showing of the alpha performance and the install process. In short their going in the right direction,its fast, with a lot of customisation and nice features. The Gui is not ready or full,with all the features, we will need to wait a bit to see what will they do with it.
