Is the use of Linux, the best way to avoid problems associated with other operating systems?

question ? Use of Linux, the best way to avoid problems with other operating systems can expect avoided
I was told to convert Linux, but others tell me that if Linux is good, it must be used by persons who possess advanced computer skills. Is a Linux-based computer, so that the owners use e-mail and the WWW, and all the different drivers that are needed? I grow tired of so much time to solve problems that I spend about using my computer. Linux is tha way to go best answer?

I use all three major operating systems (Windows, Mac OSX and Linux), Linux requires a certain degree of technical knowledge to install and I use. Many drivers or applications are not available. The operating system that I have any problems Mac OSX. Software and hardware from the same company. I have no problems with it.
