here we have the latest version of bodhi linux, the ubuntu based distro with the enlightenment e-17 windows manager, and it seems to be coming on fine too, plus the d/l seems to be smaller too,but this is offset with the more you have to d/l after install. but i don’t have a problem with this as this is the way i like stuff, install what i want. but as bodhi as it’s apt installer too for sections of software it’s a give and take thing… so you takes your distro and makes your choice…nuff said

Macpup is leaps and bounds better than Bodhi….at least I can alway swicth to Icewm when I find E17 irritating like I usually do..lol.
Folks if you want to experience E17 try Macpup….just my opinion.
Can you something about J.B.L or red star Linux?
@mousegeek I thought you might be interested to know, if you weren’t already aware of it, that there is a Nero for Linux as well, Nero Linux 4. It’s not as successful on Linux as it is on Windows because the free K3b is stiff competition, but they do make it.
@qyd0 it comes with the distro mate
link to wallpaper, please?
mr sneeky, what would be your “go to” distro for everyday use?
~your sneaky fan.
Hi can anybody tell me how long it takes to boot and their system specs so I can compare to mine please?
@Linux4UnMe E17 is pretty nice. I too have away from Gnome and am loving XFCE these days.
I run E17 on my main Desktop Archlinux. Will Probably keep it on there until “if and when” Gnome 3xx matures and impresses me o_0
Comments about sleep/hibernate slickness (above/below Ubuntu’s) would be neat, and that ddtop thing you were hot to get some meterin’ left out of toolbars with noted in the ah, show notes, please. Additionally, since you want on the Jack/Pro-Edit segue; what audio thing should I be using, supposing I think I can approach a mic that has less self-noise than a ’90s 16-bit soundcard has as a noise floor.
@mousegeek Dalliance with enlightement indeed. Unless it’s encrypted, you can leave it in situ in NTFS; that’s a cinch to fit on a HD or 2TB backup drive (one-button imaging, typically.) Way easier than using 10 30GB BD-RAM or BD-R.
brill vids that hit the spot and thanx to your recommendations b4 ive saved many a lappie or pc from scrapyard keep em coming
Played with this a bit yesterday after seeing the video. I may just add this with Mint11 on a secondary machine. Now it’s currently running Mint11 and the latest Pinguy. Oh yeah, thanks for all your postings.
@PelonchasDancer
Couldn’t resist playing with Enlightenment. I’ve installed e17 to my Ubuntu 11.10. Now Ubuntu 11.10 has: Unity, Gnome 3, Xfce, and Enlightenment! I also have OpenSUSE KDE 12.1 (like that a lot
Vista will one day soon bite the dust to make way for more Linux (it’s backing up the 300gig of files that’s the problem. I could drag them onto another hard drive but I want to burn them to DVDs).
Windows 7 lost the battle for my netbook; it’s got Mint LXDE!
